Cheers For The 13th Annual San Diego Brewers Guild Festival!

It’s not any kind of stretch to assert that San Diego’s one of the great places in the world for quaffing craft beer. The microbrewery scene in America’s Finest City has been thrumming along for decades, helping to influence the broader American revival of interesting, flavorful, and regionally distinctive brews that’s gone on to reverberate at a global scale.

And if you want to celebrate this rich heritage—and explore the many flavors on tap across San Diego County—your presence is required at the San Diego Brewers Guild Festival, enjoying its 13th run-through this November!

An Unbelievable Overview of San Diego’s Beer Scene

More than 50 area breweries—from Aztec and Benchmark to Lightning and Kilowatt—will be represented at this hops-soaked fete, pouring some of their standout concoctions as well as special beers made specially for the festival. Rounding out the beer samples are offerings from some of San Diego’s beloved food joints, including Currywurst Truck, Islands Restaurant, and Slater’s 50/50.

From 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 6, the festival kicks off with a VIP Brewer Takeover: the opportunity to explore great beers with the very craft brewers who scheme them up. The Guild Festival proper gets underway the afternoon of Saturday, Nov. 7, where brews, food trucks, live music, and plenty of good company make for one spectacular weekend affair.

The Sofia Hotel: The Perfect Perch for the Guild Festival

All the action goes down at Port Pavilion on Broadway Pier. And the Guild Festival is only the beginning of a county-wide brew party: It kicks off San Diego Beer Week!

What’s the best news of all? The San Diego Brewers Guild Festival is a mere half-mile from the Sofia Hotel! Accommodations couldn’t come any more convenient, welcoming, or beer friendly than our historic downtown establishment. We’ll say a loud and proud “Prost!” to that!
