WHERE IS THE SOFIA HOTEL LOCATED?
The Sofia Hotel is located on Broadway between Front and First Streets, in the heart of downtown San Diego—steps from the waterfront, Gaslamp Quarter, Little Italy, Petco Park, Convention Center, theaters, and cultural attractions.
IS THE HOTEL SMOKE-FREE?
Yes. The Sofia Hotel is a 100% smoke-free property.
WHAT AMENITIES ARE INCLUDED WITH MY STAY?
Enjoy access to a 24-hour fitness center, yoga studio, complimentary weekend walking tours, filtered water refill stations, and in-room refillable water carafes. Complimentary bicycles are available for exploring the city, while several dining and coffee options are just steps from the lobby.
ARE THERE COMPUTERS AND PRINTING SERVICES AVAILABLE?
For your convenience, two computers with full internet access are available for guest use. While we no longer feature a traditional business center, you can easily route documents to our front desk printer, and our team is always happy to assist with any faxing needs during your stay.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
For most flexible reservations, be sure to book directly with the hotel. Please note: special offers advance purchase, and certain group or third-party reservations may carry different cancellation terms. Please refer to your reservation confirmation for specific details.
Flexible reservations may be cancelled up to 48 hours before arrival by 4pm local hotel time without penalty. Cancellations inside 48 hours and no-shows are subject to one night’s room and tax.
IS A DEPOSIT REQUIRED?
Yes. A refundable $75 per night authorization is taken at check-in.
WHAT FORMS OF PAYMENT DO YOU ACCEPT?
We accept all major credit cards. Photo ID matching the card is required at check-in.
WHAT ARE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?
Check-in is guaranteed by 4:00 PM. Check-out is 11:00am. Early check-in or late check-out may be available for a fee.
IS LUGGAGE STORAGE AVAILABLE?
Yes—complimentary pre-arrival and post-departure luggage storage is provided.
WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO CHECK IN?
Guests must be at least 18 years old to check in.
WHAT AMENITIES ARE INCLUDED IN THE GUEST AMENITY FEE?
The Daily Amenities Fee is $17.65 plus tax and includes: Wi-Fi, FloWater hydration stations, HDTV, refrigerator, microwave, Nespresso, fitness center, yoga studio, bicycles, beach chairs, Sunday newspapers, and weekend walking tours.
DO YOU PROVIDE CRIBS OR ROLLAWAY BEDS?
Pack & Plays are available upon request. Unfortunately, rollaway beds and cribs are not available.
DO ROOMS INCLUDE MICROWAVES OR REFRIGERATORS?
Yes—every guest room includes both.
DO ROOMS HAVE BATHTUBS?
A limited number of rooms include bathtubs. Please call us directly for more information.
DO YOU OFFER ADA-ACCESSIBLE ROOMS?
Yes. Accessible Standard and Premier rooms are available with roll-in showers, lowered fixtures, mobility-accessible pathways, and other ADA features.

To ensure the smoothest arrival, please search for "The Sofia Hotel Parking" in Google Maps or your preferred GPS app. This will correctly route you to our Front Street entrance, where you will have direct, easy access to both our valet service and self-parking garage.
DO YOU OFFER ON-SITE PARKING?
Yes. On-site parking is located directly behind the hotel.
Self-Parking: $40
Valet Parking: $50
Rates include unlimited in/out privileges.
HOW FAR IS THE HOTEL FROM THE AIRPORT?
Approximately 2.5 miles (10–15 minutes by car).
IS THE HOTEL CLOSE TO PUBLIC TRANSIT?
Yes—the Santa Fe Depot is a 5-minute walk. The Broadway & 1st Ave bus station is just steps away. The America Plaza Station serving the Blue Line Trolley is a 6-minute walk.
DO YOU HAVE EV CHARGING?
EV Charging is available exclusively through valet parking for guests of The Sofia Hotel. Charging fees range from $10-20 depending on your charging level above or below 50% and will be added to the guest room account. Guests should advise the valet attendant if they would like their vehicle charged and provide any necessary charging instructions or adapters.
ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Yes. Dogs are welcome for $50 per pet, per night + tax. Pet-friendly rooms are limited; advance notice is recommended.
ARE SERVICE ANIMALS ALLOWED?
Yes. Service animals are welcome at no additional cost. Emotional support animals are subject to our standard pet policy.
WHAT IF I LOSE SOMETHING DURING MY STAY?
Please contact the Front Desk. Lost items are logged and held for 30 days.
IS THE HOTEL RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS?
The Sofia is not responsible for personal items left unattended.
In-room safes are provided for valuables.
WHAT IS THE NOISE POLICY?
Excessive noise or disruption may result in warnings or removal to protect the comfort of all guests.
IS OUTSIDE ALCOHOL ALLOWED?
Alcohol may be consumed in guest rooms but not in public indoor spaces unless permitted by law.
DOES THE HOTEL ACCOMMODATE GUESTS WITH DISABILITIES?
Yes. The Sofia meets ADA standards with accessible guest rooms, public areas, parking, elevators, TTY/TTD, and other features.
